Tenacity herbicide allows new lawns to flourish right from the start. "It is the only herbicide that can remove existing weeds at seeding, provide residual control to keep them out, and can also selectively remove bentgrass, nimblewill, crabgrass, and other difficult-to-control weeds." Tenacity herbicide provides unprecedented degrees of freedom to manage weeds, both broadleaves and grasses, without limiting other key aspects of turf management. With its proprietary active ingredient, mesotrione, Tenacity herbicide can be used both as a pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicide to selectively control 46 weeds and grass species, including creeping bentgrass in Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, or fine and tall fescue. This systemic herbicide is safe to use on established or newly seeded turf. Tenacity has two important uses. It selectively kills bentgrass from existing cool season lawns, and it also can be applied at the time of seeding a new lawn to eliminate weed competition, allowing for faster establishment.
